Okay, so you have been building your internet business. You have chosen your niche; you’ve set up your blog page; and you might have even purchased an autoresponder and hosting account! You’re really rolling now.

Then, it hits you…a MAJOR roadblock. You know that the best way to drive traffic to your website is to blog (and often) BUT what do you write about?

What do you say? What if it is not good enough? What if it sounds unprofessional? What if you write something wrong and then the entire universe thinks that you are dumb?

Relax. Breath. Calm down. I have good news!

Blog writing is EASY and I can tell you exactly what you need to know! Follow these steps and you will be on your way to driving massive traffic to your website because you are bloggin’ and LOVIN’ It!

Step 1: Don’t Think Too Hard

Whatever you do, DON’T think too hard! Your blog post should be a relaxed piece of writing, similar to a personal diary entry. By this, I mean that the content should come to you without a lot (or any) research. The entry does not have to be a shinny piece of professional wirting.

Instead, it is better to be conversational. Write in the way you think. Oh, and don’t use contractions (Don’t you wish you were told that in high school?). Use basic and small words, which will keep your readers attention longer.

Make your readers eager for your future posts by being funny; use humor.

Step 2: Write About Real Life Experiences

Building a relationship with your readers is important because it turns readers into customers. When they feel that they know you, they will be more confident and likely to purchase from you in the future. Make them like you and create a relationship with your readers by telling them about your real life experiences.

Use daily events to influence how you deliver information. For example, if your niche is dog training and yesterday your dog did something really cool like came to you when you called him, talk about that event in your blog post. Relate the experience you just had with your dog to a specific niche-related technique

And remember, just because you think the information you know may be basic doesn’t mean your readers will…you are the expert after all!

Step 3: Use Simple Yet POWERFUL Technical Components

Okay, so I am sure that you know that there are lots of different technical tricks you can use to leverage your blog for search engines and to increase your “click-through” rate. Many involve HTML code writing or crafty tricks that you practically need a degree from MIT to do.

However, there is hope for those of us who are not technical geniuses.

First, keep your blog post to 300-400 words (This is another thing I bet you wish you heard in high school).

In this case, less is more!

By keeping your post short and sweet (and remember, funny too), you will engage your readers and they will not be annoyed or overwhelmed by your lengthy monologue.

Second, attract search engines to your blog by keeping your key word density level at approx. 2.0. Now, don’t get scared if you don’t know what “key word density” is. All it means is that out of the 300-400 words in your blog post, 6-8 of the words should be your key word(s). Using the example above, “dog training” could be a key word and should appear 6-8 times in each blog post.

Blog writing can be a lot of fun and is a really important part of building an internet business. By posting regularly, you can drive massive traffic to your site and make tons of sales as a result. Just remember to relax and use these 3 steps to blog everyday!

I’ve often discussed the benefits of using audio and video in your squeeze pages, web pages, and blogs. Yet, we never discussed the mechanics of how this is done.

Actually, there are several ways to go about doing this. If you make videos using Camtasia, it’s really simple. You just tell the software that you’re producing the video for the Web and it handles the embedding for you. Plus, it creates all the files needed to make it work. Nothing could be simpler.

Not everyone uses Camtasia, however, and putting a video you made yourself into a web page without that luxury includes embedding a video player. This is second part of the code from a YouTube video:

<a href="[/embed]</h5>
<h5 style="text-align: justify;">Notice that the code that starts with </h5>
<h5 style="text-align: justify;">Notice that the code that starts with and tags (< and > replaced with [ and ] to stop the code from actually working). The first goes at the beginning of the code, and the second after the code has ended. It’s easy!

Plus, you can upload your video to the directory sites, whether you made it with Camtasia, Windows Movie Maker, or your own digital camera, as long as it’s in the appropriate digital format. That’s not a terrible problem either. Just get some software that will convert your video to the format you need. It’s not very expensive.

However, if your video is about your Internet marketing niche, you’ll want to distribute it, anyway, so uploading it to the directories is a good move. But uploading video after video takes a long time. Instead, use one of the uploader sites like Traffic Geyser or Traffic Mogul, which upload your video to several different sites for you at the same time. They’re real time savers.

Video is becoming more and more popular online and people who use it in their Internet marketing business are seeing a dramatic increase in conversions. Use software to make a video, record your own, or find one that’s in your niche in one of the directories and use it in your marketing strategy. Just realize that video is how the Internet is moving forward. You’re in at the beginning of the wave. Take advantage of its power.

Internet Marketing Killer Traffic Solutions

What’s the one thing that most Internet marketing people have trouble getting? Yes, that’s right — traffic. I have sweet ways that you can get traffic and be assured that it’s killer traffic, the kind that will help you to make sales 24/7.

Don’t try to do this with free traffic. Some free traffic can be good, like search engine optimization traffic, but generally banner exchanges, traffic exchanges, and the like won’t get the people to you that want to buy. If you have a really obscure niche, you’ll find that not many of your customers go to those places, and it’s just not the kind of traffic you need.

The most efficient way to get targeted, free traffic is by working with others in your Internet marketing niche. Here are some examples:

Targeted traffic is what makes all the difference. That’s why search engine traffic works, because when someone searches for something, they’re looking for something very specific, and the best kind of targeted traffic you can get, though still free, is by working with other people in your niche.

One great way to find targeted customer is with teleseminars. When you hold a call with someone in your niche, the people who sign up for the calls are looking for that information. They’re already interested in what you have to sell. For example, if you’re in the health and beauty Internet marketing niche, and you hold a call with a prestigious hairdresser, people will come on the call to hear what that person has to say. At the end of the call, they’ll also buy products from them and you’ll make money selling them through your affiliate link. It’s very likely that since you’re in the same niche, that people will come to your website and buy your products and services, too. You already have their names and addresses captured because you used a squeeze page to sign them up for the calls.

Joint venturing in that way is great, but you can also do joint ventures with mailings. Let’s take the same partner above. He mails out to his list about your product and you mail out to your list about his, each using the other’s affiliate links so that you both make money.

The third kind of joint venturing is “Golden Rule” traffic. That comes when you exchange emails with someone in your Internet marketing niche. You put two messages from your autoresponder series into hers and she puts two messages of hers into yours. This can bring in tons of great free traffic that is targeted to your Internet marketing niche.

Another kind of joint venturing was coined by Mark Joyner as “integration marketing.” Here, you integrate your marketing message into someone else’s sales process. For example, you give a partner in your Internet marketing niche a squeeze page to use as their “thank you” page after someone opts into their autoresponder series. This is a great way to make sales to targeted customers, as well.

These are just great ways to find traffic for your Internet marketing website, mostly free traffic, but the right kind of free traffic. If you look for people in your niche and work with them, you’ll both come out ahead.

Three most important steps to starting an Internet Business, Choose a Niche, Purchase a domain name, Get a hosting account and a autopesponder. Tellman Knudson speaks out on this subject based upon his years of experience in creating a multi-million dollar internet Marketing Empire.

With the Age of Technology increasingly impacting how we do business with one another, we are finding ourselves taking more and more comfort in the convenience of online shopping. As a global nation, we are relying on the Internet for our clothing, educational, entertainment and business purchasing needs. Naturally, this leaves many of us with the desire to want to get in on the action; not as a customer, but as a merchant of the Internet. Upon realizing this goal, the first question that comes to mind is “Where Do I start?” Below are the 3 Most Important Action Steps Of Starting an Internet Business. Follow these first, and you will be on your way to entrepreneurship!

Step 1: Choose a Niche

As one decides to start an internet business, it is common to choose a niche based upon what is “thought” to be the needs and wants of the market. This is the worst way to choose a niche and will most certainly end in failure. Consider that to start an internet business (or any business for that matter), you need to live, love and breathe what you are selling. If you are not totally excited about the product and niche you are immersed in, then soon boredom will set in and the desire to have an internet business will move out.

Instead, choose a niche based upon something you are passionate about. Start by brainstorming 3-5 ideas of niches that you not only are highly interested in, but also have a good base of knowledge. Do not sell yourself short of being an “expert” just because you don’t have a license or an education degree in the area. You may be surprised how much you actually know.

A perfect example of this is a parent that has had a child grown into a product and respecting adult. If there were ever an “expert” in parenting, I would bet on this person’s experience rather then simply some letters behind one’s name. Remember, your experiences CAN and DO make you an expert!

By taking this first step of properly choosing a niche, you will be setting yourself up for a perfect start out of the gate.

TIP: Don’t worry about which product you are going to sell when choosing your niche. That part will come later in the game.

Step 2: Buy a Domain Name

Once you choose your niche, the next step is buying your domain name. The domain name is simply your internet business’s website address. There are many different places to buy a domain name, however, we suggest GoDaddy. Go to GoDaddy and click on Domains in the top left-hand corner. This will bring you to a page where you can enter some domains to see if they are available. If your first choice is not available, don’t worry about it. Keep trying different variations until you find one you like and is available. Try to prevent choosing an alternative domain name that ends in .us or .org. Choose a unique domain name that ends in .com .

TIP: Try to choose a domain name that has your keyword in it. This will help with traffic and sales later on!

Step 3: Get a Hosting Account and an Autoresponder

After securing your domain name, your next step is to purchase a hosting account and an Autoresponder. If you are brand new to starting an internet business, I am sure both of those terms seem very abstract; which in fact, they are. A Hosting account is a monthly fee that you pay to be able to house your domain (website). This is a necessary tool.

The Autoresponder is going to house the lifeblood of your company…your customers! You will need this service to be able to keep record of the people on your list (potential buyers) as well as to be able to communicate to them through email marketing. Don’t worry, you can learn more about all of this. Just make sure that you go ahead and buy your Hosting Account and get your Autoresponder.

TIP: When purchasing these services, purchase the service that best fits your finances. In the beginning, you can select a small package option and always upgrade later.

Starting an internet business can be confusing, especially for those of us that don’t have ions of experience in the technical field. Use these three steps to get started and don’t let anything hold you back. You deserve to own the internet business that you dream of!
